Niagara Rubber Supply's O-Ring Material Identifier is a handy way to identify the composition of four O-Ring types. The wedge-shaped metal weight slides down the tube and onto the O-Ring. As it bounces up, quickly watch which material range to which it bounces.

This tester identifies:
EP - Ethylene Propylene
N – Nitrile
P - Perfluorolastomer ( Kalrez®)
F - Fluoroelastomer
